Creativity is the self-care we need right now. There is little that gives back to us the way creativity does; it feeds the soul while also allowing us opportunities to sensually engage in tactile and repetitive practice. Whether it’s painting, collaging, doodling, stitching, cake decorating, or gardening, there is something so engaging in the intentional act of touch, motion, and stimulation of senses.
The question, in this season of life, isn’t how creativity as self-care is beneficial, though, is it? If you’re anything like me or the majority of people I’ve talked to about this very thing, the question becomes how.
How now?
