FIVE GOOD THINGS…
1.) Our Golden Girl turned 9!
2.) We are on the cusp of the Summer Solstice! How will you be honoring this change in season?
3.) Goodness growing in the garden! We’ve been enjoying strawberries, green onion, herbs, teas, and can’t wait for the rest!
4.) I had bloodwork and a mammogram done. Nothing in the bloodwork was surprising, but also nothing is worse. My mammogram was all good! Major relief all around!
5.) My Daily Rhythm: Summer is here! Paperback, kindle, and hardcover! (online anyway. I’ll be sending out copies next week, and local bookstores should have paperbacks by the weekend!)
CURRENTLY I’M…
Reading: The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak
Playing: with the dogs most of all. Solitaire on my phone sometimes…
Watching: The K-dramas Tomorrow and Hotel Del Luna currently. Also watched The King’s Affection. Swoon…
Trying: to learn Korean
Cooking: light and easy things like salads, summer pastas, sandwiches, nachos, etc.
Eating: fresh-grown things! Lots of veggies, cherries, summer berries…
Drinking: iced tea, iced lattes, boba tea here and there, and lots of iced water!
Texting: my bff because we spotted an Idaho license plate here in PA!
Pinning: garden stuff
Doing: journaling, writing, reading, spending time in the garden, and attending local summer events as often as possible.
Loving: that it is both peony season and cherry season! My faves!
Hating: that peony and cherry seasons are so short.
Discovering: New (to me) K-pop artists (I have never pretended I’m not a hyper fixation girl.)
Enjoying: our sunroom. I always forget what an incredible space it is, until we open it up for use in the spring.
Thinking: constantly about Delaney Hall.
Feeling: pretty good, healthwise, these days. Hopeful that even once we’re in the full swing of humid summer days, that will still happen.
Hoping For: a beautiful summer solstice weekend and start to the season! Summer can feel fleeting, and so it’s important we remember it hasn’t even truly started yet!
Listening To: Lots of K-Pop, oddly enough. Also picked up a vinyl album of Saturday Night Fever from a local vintage boutique, and I am loving that too!
Celebrating: Elenor, of course!
Thanking: God for so much sunshine and another good mammogram!
Considering: adopting a cat from the local shelter, though no one can replace Rhiannon.
Finishing: The first draft of the next My Daily Rhythm installment!
Starting: to dive back into working on my novel.
